Matthew Matt James, born on the 5th of December, 1991, on the 5th of December, 1991 in North Carolina. James is the son of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. He is the son of an Nigerian father and a Caucasian mother. He graduated in the year 2010 at Sanderson High School. In 2015, James earned the Bachelor of Economics degree from Wake Forest University. In 2020, he was picked to play the 25th season bachelor in The Bachelor, becoming the first African American lead. The show debuted in 2021.
