John Denver is a popular singer and songwriter who has touched many people with his songs. Most of his songs were inspired by Colorado. He was born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico he fell in the love of Colorado and then relocated to Aspen. Denver's state anthems have inspired many to visit Colorado. G. Brown the curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame said that John Denver was by far one of the most popular artists who represented Colorado. In the year 2011, Denver was named the Hall of Fame's first inductee. Denver has become the image of Colorado to many all over the world. In my journeys, you meet someone from the other end of the planet, one from New Zealand and you say 'I'm from Colorado and the very first thing that comes that comes out of their mouths is"Oh John Denver! Brown declared. Take Me Home Country Roads - cowritten with Bill Danoff - was Denver's first Top 10 single as a solo singer after a brief period in small folk ensembles. Danoff created the track in conjunction with Johnny Cash in mind but when Denver saw an early rendition it was clear that the track could become the next hit single. Following the performance at Washington D.C. to a large audience, Denver released the song a couple of days later.
